Groceries to You! is a new program of Koochiching Aging Options that links volunteer shoppers with older homebound residents of the International Falls area. Participants in a pilot project for the program reported gratitude for being able to call in an order and have volunteers shop for and deliver their groceries. Particpants need to be 60+ and live in the International Falls area. Once they pre-register they can call in their grocery order on Tuesday mornings. The following day volunteers deliver their order along with a receipt for the groceries. The participant must send in a payment to the store within one or two days.
